From research to market: strategy for technologies under development
We help companies with an R&D project or a proprietary technology define how it will reach the market: potential, partners and funding.
Turning an R&D project into a line of business.
Many companies develop technology without having worked out what they will do with it: which market it is for, with whom, with what resources and in what order. We start from the company’s R&D project and build the full strategy for bringing it to market: we assess the potential of each technology, find the partners needed and identify the right sources of funding, European or otherwise. European programmes are one possible route, not the starting point.

For companies with their own technology.
If you have an R&D project or several lines under development, we assess which have the most market potential and which deserve priority.

For technologies that need partners.
We define the project around the technology and find the industrial, scientific or commercial partners that bring the missing capabilities.

For projects that need funding.
We identify the most suitable source for each stage, from European programmes to private investment or corporate alliances, and prepare the project to fit.

How we work on transferring a technology.
1. We understand the technology
We talk to the company about what it is developing, how mature it is and what innovation it brings compared with what already exists.
2. We assess the potential
We carry out a market study to see which technologies or projects have the most scope, which customers need them and how they could be exploited.
3. We find partners and funding
We define the project, find the partners that bring capabilities and identify the most suitable funding, whether European or from other sources.
4. We support the route to market
We work on the business model, the exploitation of results, industrialisation, investment and possible corporate alliances until the technology becomes a business.
Our role.
We are the project’s strategy consultancy: the market and business view alongside the team developing the technology. We are neither a grants agency nor responsible for the scientific research.
- We study the market, the business model and the exploitation of the results of each technology.
- We analyse industrialisation, the investment required and possible corporate alliances.
- When the route is a European programme, the specialised preparation of the proposal and project management are arranged with a specialised consultancy and we take part in the consortium as partners.
- Technological leadership and coordination are defined with the partners for each project.
